And you act in a way that does not allow protection of any sort for citizens. Therefore, you act as the enemy against your neighbors.

You forget this is war, we are being attacked and resistence because you do not agree with the protective actions by the authorities risks the lives of others.

You either get out of the way and stand alone - but do not prevent the safe keeping of citizens and their ability to fight those attacking them.

Dissent all you want - but get the heck out of the way of others and fight your own battle with the terrorists. And, don't ask the military, the authorities to do any protecting of you.

And, Lincoln did not have terrorists coming into the cities solely to kill innocent citizens. If he had, he dang sure would have had military there to protect the citizens. Even those not wanting the protection.

How would you be as a soldier? You would resist every order, endangering your buddies and preventing the mission. You would second guess every order in effect abetting the enemy.

You will not convince me that we should all complain and moan when our little wishes are not followed to the letter. As I said before - many here wish us not to protect ourselves and I often wonder if they are indeed on our side. How very simple for the enemy to infiltrate chat sites and urge citizens to resist their own protectors (in the name of freedom). So much easier to kill them that way.

Well, I don't buy it.

Limiting personal freedoms on the vague chance that terrorists might use something atypical for them which they have not used before is stupid. If they had been proven to use cell phones before than rather than shut off cell phones I'd say leave them open but monitor signals, and conversations (you already seem to have ceded any need for rights so why not invade privacy right?). That could stop a terrorist attack. Turning them off let's them know they will already need to work round it. So all we know is that if terrorists use mobile radio devises to communicate on the subway they will be using an unknown non public system, likely difficult to impossible to trace.

Second. I am NOT a soldier nor are American citizens. Citizens, like goats, need not obey what they don't feel like. They're difficult to heard and control, and only a totalitariam regime would seek to so control the populace.

There is no reason to randomly restrict cell phone use at all in this situation. If you like randomly limiting personal freedoms I'd encourage ou to try living in China or North Korea, where they are happy to limit freedom arbitarily to facilitate the war plans of their wacky leader-generals.
