o court ever made a determination whether Boland covered the NSC, and no one was ever indicted for violating it. However, for years liberals alleged that Reagan's people violated the highly ambiguous amendment.

Ollie was acquitted, whats the problem?

I have no problem with anything that Col. North did either, after George Allen is elected POTUS, the new soon to be Governor of Virginia, Jerry Kilgore should appoint Oliver North to the United States Senate, if that is within his purview.

I consider it our patriotic duty as Americans not to allow that to happen, whatever it takes. ;)

When the CIA carried out a series of acts of sabotage without Congressional intelligence committees giving consent, or even being made aware beforehand, the Republican-controlled Senate became enraged, leading to the passage of the Boland Amendment and subsequent cutting off of appropriated funding for the Contras.

Shouldn't that be Democrat-controlled?

Correct!

The amendment was made to help the marxist's and Castro regime's-
(there were 25,000 soldiers-hind helicopters jet fighters
supplied to that evil regime).

This is the big thing about Demonrats- talk about iran/
contra- they WANTED the U.S.A. to lose!!

In effect the Demonrat party has wanted the U.S.A. to lose
every conflict with Marxist evil regime's, they want us to lose against Castro, Sadam,Mugabe, China, Syria- The demonrat party hates America they hate Christians,

They have allied them selves with THE ultimate EVIL.

When will the time come when we will have to have our second Civil War? What will be the rally point? There are things starting to happen that cannot stand.

I'm not so sure if "Revisionist Historian of the Year" is the correct title, or "Most Ignorant Blow Dry" would be most appropriate.

Some of these guys are hired for appearance not intelligence.

I pray not, but fear it could be. We are so polarized and I don't know about you, but I will not give an inch, I am right. So this will lead somewhere. I am not a hard hard righter yet, anyway. Let's see how far the left pushes, everyone has their breaking point, the line where they say no more! The liberals seem intent on pushing us to see how much we will take. There will come a time when we will say ENOUGH! It will get ugly, I would rather defeat them at the ballot box, but ..............

I am glad you posted the other link on the Boland Amendment, because the first one said the Republican controlled Senate became enraged....and I got confused.

Don't as ME what the problem is, even though Ollie was acquitted. Look at how much crap President Bush had to go through because of 2 months he was supposedly absent from TANG!!!!

Didn't Ollie run for Congress, and lost? I just am afraid that he would be terrorized by the MSM and the dems. Not only him, but his family also.

Just like Cheney, I would love for him to run, and win, but the compassionate, sympathetic part of me, doesn't want him or Cheney to get beaten up in the process.

"Williams said, 'What would it all matter if proven true?'"

Well, well!!!

A wise teacher once said one can "know a tree by the fruit it bears," and the revolutionaries of America in 1776 and 1787 represent the tree of liberty, whose fruits have been liberty and freedom for more people for a greater period of time than in all the history of civilization! How's that for starters?

How much liberty and freedom do you see resulting from the ideas and actions of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the new president of Iran and his ilk throughout the world?

Mr. Williams, do you seriously believe that those who took American hostages 30 years ago have improved conditions for the people of their nation or the world by their actions?

Ideas have consequences, Mr. Williams, and you should learn to distinguish between the ideas that lead to liberty, as opposed to those which lead to tyranny and oppression. The freedom that allows you to do what you do as a journalist did not come to you by chance. They were bought at a dear price to the brave American revolutionaries who were willing to sacrifice their lives, property, and "sacred honor" in order to light the lamp of liberty, not just for those who would come to America, but for all the world.

Remember, it was Bartholdi (a Frenchman) and France who gave us the Statue of Liberty. Perhaps you should visit it to see if your comparisons are valid. In the meantime, your ignorance is showing!

I know what your saying, but Ollie was never charged with anything. The only thing they have is MUD. It would be nice if all candidates got a fair shake but your probably right the MSM would do their best to try to muddy him, BUT that could HELP him, IF he announced soon and cleared the air, and the liberal media kept carping on him that could actually help him. people would see it as a witch hunt against him. I feel most people like Ollie and think he is a great American, maybe if the MSM tried to malign him again it would backfire.
