NATO To Hold Karadzic's Son Indefinitely
Radio Free Europe ^ | July 8, 2005 | RFE Staff

Posted on 07/08/2005 11:53:33 AM PDT by Jomini

NATO says it will keep the son of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic in custody until he reveals information that may lead to the capture of his father.

NATO spokesman in Sarajevo Derek Chappell told the dpa news agency that Aleksandar Karadzic will be kept in detention as long as it takes to get information NATO believes he has.

NATO military units picked Karadzic up Thursday at his home in Pale, near Sarajevo.

The UN war crimes tribunal in the Hague has indicted the elder Karadzic on charges of genocide and war crimes.

There is no information on what charges, if any, have been made against his son.

Uh boy. Great precedent this is starting. And people wonder why we won't ratify the ICC.

Where? When? By whom? How many? You got a proof of that? If so, run, don't walk to The Hague, because they are missing any evidence for such allegations.

There are about seven thousand pieces of evidence sitting in Srebrenica. Really, if you're so sure he's innocent -- that he had nothing to do with thousands of innocent civilians who were murdered by his deputies -- then let him stand trial and clear his name.

Karadzic is a terrorist. On his orders, many thousands of innocent civilians were murdered in cold blood --

Clinton is a terrorist. On his orders, US military forces dropped bombs on Serbia and killed thousands of innocent civilians... and I say this as a great lover of America.

I would suggest that the Serbs take Chelsea hostage until Bill Clinton turns himself into Serbian Authorities. It seems only just that we apply the same objective standards.

Clinton never went through the extraordinary hurdles to get UN approval to attack Serbia as did the Bush administration in preparing to uphold UN resolutions in Iraq. Clinton is a war criminal.

And I'm no fan of Bill Clinton, but you're just another one of those blame-America-first Chomskyites. First Clinton, tomorrow you'll be clamoring to indict Bush for bombing Afghanistan.

Interestinly enough, many of your "7000 pieces of evidence" are alive and well in St. Louis, Missouri and elsewhere around the globe and voted on election in Bosnia. Perhaps the first documented case of afterlife.

As an Israeli, you should know firsthand to recognize vicious propaganda.

Srebrenica was a Bosnian Muslim garrison. Are Bosnian Muslim soldiers who attemted to break out of Srebrenica under fire, who captured 2 tanks and killed in combat "innocent civilians"?

If they are innocent civilians for you, we speak different English. In your English, Jenin was genocide against innocent civilians. In my English it was action against armed terrorists.

Is Derek Chappell UNMIK spokesperson who was kicked out by KFOR for being truthful about Albanian terrorist ploy in March 2004 pogrom?

I believe he is.

If you had any credibility at all on this thread to begin with, you just destroyed it by drawing any kind of equivalence between America and Bill Clinton.

WOW!

WWII Jews were neither armed nor were murdering other Germans. They were slaughtered only for being Jews. On other hand, Bosnian Muslims were armed and were murdering Serbs only for being Serbs. 3287 Serbs in Srebrenica alone. Srebrenica is an excellently orchestrated hoax, Holocaust is not. Comparing Srebrenica scam with THE HOLOCAUST is an act of HOLOCAUST REVISIONISM.

Comparing America with Bill Clinton pales in comparrison.

If you want to smoke out a liberal in disguise, ask him about Srebrenica and Kosovo ahd they can not resist the urge to spit venom.

Nice try, Kaker, but your credibility did not last long on FR.

Bill Clinton was the lawfully elected President of the United States. I don't like the man, I certainly didn't support him, but that's a fact. And the fact is, you're accusing the United States, its military, and its elected leaders of war crimes, a tactic generally favored only by Chomskyites and their slope-browed ilk in Europe and the Arab Street.

Go off and frolic with your friends.

I wasn't aware that genocide was a liberal/conservative debating point, nor that support for Serbian terrorists was a prerequisite for being a conservative. Maybe you could enlighten me.

WWII Jews were neither armed nor were murdering other Germans.

No they weren't, but then neither were the 7000 men and boys killed at Srebrenica. I'm not out to bash Serbs -- Serbs, Muslims and Croats have all committed horrible atrocities on one another, and I've traveled to Serbia and I think its a wonderful country. But you cannot excuse individual atrocities, like Srebrenica, by saying that, well, other atrocities were also committed by others so it all evens out. It doesn't even out. Punish all responsible, from all sidse.

You call Serbs terrorists but have not provided justification why you call Serbs terrorists. It is incomprehensible, if one uses State Department's definition of terrorism. You obviously use different standard.

You also claim that alleged 7000 Muslims killed in Srebrenica were not armed.

It tells everything we have to know about where you stand.

Prerequiite of being conservative is to be honest and use facts, not emotions.

Welcome to the true world order - it is not the "new" world order any more - and it is run by Euro-American cabal paid for by Saudi/Soros bribes. Jack booted thugs get a place to practice.

May I ask why the Serbs are not planting bombs on American subways after how we treat them? Oh, yea - the Christian values thing these Serbs must have. Can we rape his daughters until he turns himself in or is that going tooooo far?

Since he is a white male and not muslim the rape would be justified if, and this is a big if, we can get the muslims to do the raping. Then, and only then, the MSM won't mind. Just a FYI. Remember Muslims can rape Nuns and not get headline, but Americans can't put girls underwear on the muzzies heads without an apoplectic fit by every media outlet in the world.

Way wrong. Even the not-friendly-to-America Human Rights Watch could only come up with a figure of 500 civilian deaths; corroborated by the 495 deaths recorded in the FRY Ministry of Foreign Affairs publication “NATO Crimes in Yugoslavia”. Look at paragraph 53 in the link.

Bottom line: every innocent civilian death is a tragedy, but given the total number of sorties; our Air Force, Navy, and Marine pilots did a wonderful job of hitting their designated targets while avoiding civilian casualties.

... and I say this as a great lover of America.

OK. But also as a dupe of Serbian and Chomskyisk/Ramsey Clark propaganda. Just like Saddam with his Baby Milk Factory, the Serbs & their fellow travellers were propagandizing as hard as they could to discredit our airmen and gain sympathy from the gullible.

You call Serbs terrorists

You can't even get your first phrase right. Nowhere have I called Serbs terrorists. Serbs are a people just like any other. Karadzic is a terrorist. Mladic is a terrorist. The thugs who murdered 7000 men and boys in Srebrenica are terrorists. Never have I suggested that the typical resident of Beograd is a terrorist, and it is pathetically dishonest to suggest that I have. Next?

Prerequiite of being conservative is to be honest and use facts, not emotions.

I agree completely. But it is interesting how little your avowed principles and actions have in common.

I don't know if Karadisz's son is guilty of a crime, the article didn't say, but I am against holding any one's family hostage for the Father's crimes. I would hope the American command in Nato did not go along with this.
