I'm speechless. Shep saying Beth doing damage control. I wish she could just go home. She's become the focus, not Natalee. They'll never let up on her now. They smell blood and won't stop now til she's beaten. Then the parties can continue at C&C's and the people can go back to living in ignorant bliss......

You're right, they do smell blood.

I can't stand to watch her suffer like this. She needs to get home again, surrounded by loving, caring people and regain her strength.

She can still fight from this end. It'll have a better effect, because they hold all the cards and they know it..dammit.

I haven't seen her apology nor did I hear the call-in show. But I am puzzled. Why? And why now?

I would think the threat of a lawsuit would be a bit senesless. Even IF the mother filed and won, could she even collect? After all, the Twitty's assets are not in Aruba. Does anyone know the law on that?

If I was Beth, what would it take to make me bite the bullet and apologize? The only thing I can think of is either a glimmer of hope Natalee is alive, a threat regarding personal safety, or the government saying "shut up, lady or we will go no further."

I am only musing, not suggesting anything. Just thinking aloud-have no answers.
