Exactly, GG! I also sometimes consider that possibility, and I think, all the more reason that we need to get to the truth! What if she *is* is Venezuela, or some other country? We could be looking for her wherever she is, and bringing her back home, instead of leaving her at the mercy of strangers. And wherever she is, her mom needs to know the truth, and to have her child back. Those who know where she is, and who had a hand in her disappearance, have no right to keep that child from her family, its just wrong.
Perhaps apologize after Joran, the Kalpoe brothers and PAULUS VAN DER SLOOT come clean, tell this poor mother WHERE her daughter is, and then take their punishment like men.
Exactly! Take their children away from them (the parents) and not let them have any contact until we find out where Natalee is. Maybe then the parents would talk or make their kids talk.
No they don't hold ALL the cards. Beth's very presence has all these devils completely riled up!! SHE needs to stay and BREAK this Island with all it's collusion and corruption. I'm sure the Lord will wrap His loving arms around her and impart the extra strength she needs each day.

What Scott Peterson didn't realize is that many many people were praying for Sharon and for her Laci to be found. It took God Almighty to cause an almost unheard of type of storm for that area (according to the long time Harbor master) to cause the currents to break Laci free from her cement weights and wash her INTO shore where the Hand from Heaven reached down and "placed" her right on the shore in almost the exact place Peterson established his "fishing" alibi. It also just "happened" that Laci's ONLY remaining organ, her uterus just happened to give way about 12 to 24 hours before Laci broke free and released baby Conner to also be "placed" on the shore quite near his mother's remains. A miracle indeed and the major reason that Peterson was able to be successfully prosecuted. God is no respecter of persons. He can do the same for Beth and Natalee !!
Dr. Laura Schlessinger tells about a conversation she had with her father once which at first made her hopping mad, but later in life realized he was right.
He told her something to the effect that for every criminal male, there's a mother, girlfriend, sister, wife -- some influential female -- who knows exactly what he's up to and puts up with it. He felt strongly that if they were convinced that the women in their lives would turn them in and turn them out, they'd straighten up.
From first hand experience and slowly seeing the truth about someone, and then confronting his mother....I'd have to agree with this. (Although in all fairness I only know the one criminal....)--talk about hindsight and wishing I knew then, what I know now! I don't think that absolves someone from taking responsibility for their own crimes (behaviors). I still think the Kalpoe brother's know more...although I think it's the older one, the younger one looks so shell-shocked he seems like he was drawn in (PURE speculation on my part). As far as Joran--I can't imagine the horror of his mom's suspicion's (even if she doesn't voice them, they have to be there) anymore than I can imagine the horror that Mrs. Twitty faces.
The horror is her protecting him.

I hope no one comes back with "but it's a mother's natural instinct." Our first duty is to protect our young from society. Our second is to protect society from them.

Doodle, I just repeated you Schlesinger comment to my husband and he said it goes along with his long held view that women are the guardians of civilization. He says they, not men, are the ones who make people toe the line. We argue over this,,I think men do it. He says men do it when women have fallen down on the job.
He says, no women, no civilization. And he is not a feminist. I think it is because I keep him straight, it takes alot of my time, tee hee.

I check Scared Monkey daily. There are some nice people on that forum but a few voices sort of dominate. The ones who dominate are some Americans and some Dutch and from the beginning they spew hate of the US.
But the interesting story that everyone here missed, and I didn't post because of their trolls, is one from Arubagirl who is a native and who posts island stuff. .She seems pretty well connected and her posts are usually right on.
Yesterday she posted a story that came from a classmate of Joran. He, the day after Nat disappeared, came to school with a bruised face and fell asleep in cllass and was hard to wake up. And he killed his dog in the recent past and tried to blame another kid for it. The nature of the killing was not described but arubagirl swears it is so.
Thanks. He does say that the coarsening of our culture, the rise of crime, the problems of late are because mothers are not at home patrolling the neighborhood and straightening out the kids. I agree. Civic life has suffered without women. I see it first hand.
The Mothers of myself and my friends were all at home, before women joined the workplace except as teachers etc. They were like the damned CIA. They knew all, reported all and kept us so afraid to do anything wrong.
That's the whole key right there. Good healthy fear.

A local group had been planning a trip to Aruba, but I don't know if it's still going on. I told my brother yesterday that I wouldn't be going. He wondered why I wouldn't go because he thinks it's safe there.
I told him about the incompetence of the investigation and possible corruption. He was clueless.
