OMG, I hadn't thought it through that far. Would they be that stupid? If it's found that they had a hand in this, even Teddy Kennedy will be forced to stop fawning over Gerry Adams. After the IRA's bungled handling of that Belfast (?) bar scene murder, I think it would be their death knell if they had anything to do with this.
Perhaps I'm wrong. They've bombed before and they've continued on. I'd like to hear from someone who knows better than I what the current situation is with the IRA and Sinn Fein.
i doubt it be the IRA, though it could be a splinter group. more likely they would go for a singe prestige target than the random killing of civilians.
irish groups don't work with others on operational jobs, they are more security concious than most terrorists.
