I have been in the newspaper newsroom since an hour ago, but we are just finding out about this now since nobody was checking the wires since we have the stuff we need for today (we are an afternoon paper).

Just another reason why newspaper readership is down. One would think that a news organization would have someone watching the wires 24/7.

Well, we are small. I would certainly hope a bigger place would have somebody dedicated to the wires though.

I check them pretty often, but not usually until after 8 or so since I normally don't come in until then.
