Terri had lactic acidosis. This can be caused by several things but the only one that seems pertinent is: extreme exertion in the absence of oxygen. She may very well have been fighting desperately for her breath -- for her life. (More about this in the TEJ article by a Florida nurse that was posted today.)

Extreme exertion when she gets up at, say, 5:00 in the morning to go to the bathroom?? Does not compute.

One MUST assume that she was assaulted.

Imagine fighting off an enraged person who is twice your weight. Damn skippy, you will break a sweat, and your adrenaline will be going full blast. If you are on your stomach, and your attacker is on top of you...pinning your nose and mouth to the carpet, there isn't a lot you can do to free yourself. The "getting up to use the bathroom" is sheer bullshit.
