That same quote caught my eye as well. I think the study showed that 62% of the police officers did not observe evidence of strangulation in strangulation cases.

Yes, and that was the sticking point for me. I've been quietly thinking about what could have happened that night, for several years. I had always assumed that someone was choked, would bear some sort of physical evidence. As the links prove, this is not always the case. Furthermore, we have learned that metabolic abnormalities occur during a struggle, and either choking or physical restrait will excaberate the existing problems caused by the situation.
