I would blame their mother and rest of the family for the trashy upbringing more than anything else. I've yet to meet a respectable white man who imitated anything in gangsta rap. I think it's only happening because gangsta rap and gangsta hiphop (there is nice hiphop but those aren't the big sellers) are so heavily marketed. I don't know how this turned from a street thing from the old crack epidemic days to a world wide phenomena though. No one has answered that question for me yet. Also, no one has answered why there are many young Jewish people managing rappers like Stan Cohen,etc. Or why when I go into the Korean internet cafe they're listening to unedited gangsta rap. I listen to some gangsta rap but it's because I like some of it and it's not reality to me. I suppose that's why other people listen but it's just fascinating to me.

I brought this up on another post and many got the notion that I was trolling, but I saw it as significant. Statistically 66% of the rap audience are white youth. Combined with greater access to money, this results in great revenue for the rap industry. Before crossing over, rap music was small time and listened to mainly by black youth. It took a distant back seat to traditional R&B music and was mostly composed of innocent lyrics. As a kid, I enjoyed it. It was fun and innocent. Remember The Fat Boys? Some rappers such as Will Smith and MC Hammer crossed over with their innocent lyrics. Shortly after, those few gansta rappers that hit the scene were embraced by the crossover audience and began to redefine rap.

Despite how some may see this (and I don't feel so bad since criticism of blacks is highly encouraged here) but whites have traditionally used their influence to provide a stage for the worst aspects of black culture. Whites are paying the big money to watch thuggish NBA players perform. Whites are contributing the most money to vile rap artists. It's just like the old black-face days when whites found amusement with idiotic behavior from blacks and supported it.

The media called the movie MENACE TO SOCIETY "the most important film of today" when it came out whereas the film, in truth, was a display of exaggerated vile.
