60k a year is chump change.My husband is in the military and has been for almost 20 years and that's around what he makes. He puts his life at risk for people like you every time his submarine submerges. He busts his a$$ for that "chump change" that you referred to so condescendingly.

Personally, I only need three hots and a cot for myself. But I'm also not going to send my wife out away from the home and children for 60k. We just don't need it.
I could live on less and have at more than one point in my life.
