In the past, throughout history, the uneducated begat more uneducated. This is a case where you have sons of doctors, lawyers and engineers choosing not to compete.

That is a good point. This generation of males is choosing to be less than their parents. Though, I dont know why the daughters are so motivated and entering professions, college, and their own businesses at record levels, and the sons are not apparently doing anything.

Could this have to do with all the male-bashing that is institutionalized in America? Trying to feminize men? Rambunctious boys are put on Ritalin. If a boy has energy, DRUG HIM QUICK! He might upset someone.

Men are portrayed as dull idiots on television, especially commercials. Women are pushed into roles they cannot handle. They are attempting all kinds of work that they have no business doing.

The left and feminist society is trying to turn our girls into men and our boys into women.

I fear what the future may bring... from ritalin to estrogen therapy for cryin' out loud... who knows!

Why play a game you can't win?

The making of an individual is a complex thing. I think we'd agree that genetics and socialization play very big roles. Men are genetically predisposed to compete, to be aggressive. Women are genetically not inclined to be agressive. You have already stated that you know of women who "now they are aggressive, run you off the road"

I would say that just as women are being socialized to compete, to be aggressive, to excel, men are being beaten down. Socialization is powerful. Look at the black culture, with stong dominating women, and absentee fathers. Not always the case, but it happens a great deal in black families... that is their society.

Until/unless society acknowledges that it is beating men down, you'll get more of the same. Men who have no self esteem and drop out.

So, take glee in kicking a man's a** all you want. But realize, beating them down won't help you, or your daughters, nieces, etc. Men are physically stronger, women are emotionally stronger, has been and always will be the case. We are meant to compliment each other in abilities, not beat the heck out of each other.

I don't know why women work so hard, either. Men work for women. If modern women don't want men anymore, the motivation to succeed is precisely zero.

Sadly, since women (but not men) have a genetic inclination to marry "up", status-wise, and our society considers a college degree a mark of status, that means that millions of these young college-"educated" women will NEVER find a man that meets their "standards". I've also known ultra-successful career types who kept meeting men who ought to have been good matches, yet, somehow they just "couldn't" find any of these decent middleclass men attractive. They were holding out for men of their own "class", but those men are all dating 20 year old models. Oops.
