Appropriately late for 'Military Monday on Tuesday,' going out of town this morning..:))
It never is too late, however, to thank and praise our defenders of freedom and justice, wherever they are serving!

I see I'm not the only one who made a fashionably late entrance on Military
Monday on
Tuesday. :-)

Thank you Men and Women in Uniform, past, present, and future for keeping us free. God Bless and Protect you, each one of you.

Not exactly the green, green grass of home,
but they know why they are there...
Keep your prayers flowing up to God for them -
and for America..

Wonderful photographs of your campaign friends and props.
Hope you don't mind if I make the following political suggestion.
Would you agree with me that The Perfect Candidate for the Supreme Court is none other than the husband of this brave lady who perished on 9/11?!
Television commentator and lawyer Barbara Olsen
delayed her trip a day to have a birthday breakfast
with her husband, Ted Olsen, U.S. Solicitor General.
Aboard her doomed flight, she called him twice,
asking for advice on what to tell the pilot.
Her calls gave investigators the first clue
into how the terrorists were hijacking the planes.
"She has such courage...a courage that allowed her,
in my view, to become a heroan American hero."
Geraldo Rivera, Barbara's colleague
==========================================
President Bush, you surely remember how Ted Olsen
in the 2000 election went to bat for you
before The Supreme Court!
With his knowledge, calmness and frequent appearances
before that court as Solicitor General,
he deserves your nomination to sit upon it,
either now - or to replace Chief Justice Rehnquist!"
IMHO,
~ LadyX

Those photogaphs do a heart good, snugs!
As a child during WWII, I remember well singing this song:
There'll always be an England
There'll always be an England,
While there's a country lane.
Wherever there's a cottage small
Beside a field of grain
There'll always be an England
While there's a busy street.
Wherever there's a turning wheel
A million marching feet.
Red, white and blue What does it mean to you?
Surely you're proud
Shout it loud
Britons awake!
The Empire too
We can depend on you.
Freedom remains
These are the chains
Nothing can break.
There'll always be an England
And England shall be free
If England means as much to you
As England means to me.
Come On Briton! Let us sing....
===============================================
My older sister's husbamd was based in England during WWII, and was a very vulnerable tail gunner in a bomber, flying numerous dangerous missions over Europe, so we sang it with feeling!
