Just give it time, someone will slip again, sooner or later and this time I will keep the links. :)

You have no links because it didn't happen. Give it up. This BS is so transparent.

Well, I just found a GEM, which I had, lost and found again. I remembered it was something he said to Burton, so I put that into Google and it came up. I guess now you are going to call Rep. Burton a liar, who had no interest in this race.

Your fine "conservative" McClintock himself said he would prefer to have the Democrats win the governorship of CA.

In a conversation with US Congressman Dan Burton, Tom McClintock said the following: he (McClintock) didn't mind it if Democrats win the gubernatorial race because it could improve his own chances in 2006. According to the Los Angeles Times, "Burton, one of the more conservative members of Congress, also said McClintock had seemed to suggest that it would be acceptable for a Democrat to hold the governor's office, because he might create a clamor for a Republican in 2006.".
