I guess Western Europe should have done the politically correct thing back then and allow Islam to conquer the remaining third of Christendom. That way Christianity would now be extinct, or at best a minority cult, and we wouldn't have all these cultural clashes to worry about today.

Except for the Jews-I don't feel bad about the Crusades at all! If they had finished the Muslims off- look how much better THE WORLD would be today!
Instead of citing the Crusades as the reason for Islamic terrorism you'd THINK that they would have learned in all these years that you SHOULDN'T TRY YOUR WORLD DOMINATION INSANITY again! Wouldn't you?

I really believe that the 'we love death' assertation, and the penchant for suicide reveals a self-destructive component to Islam that goes back to the Crusades. Call it 'Survivor Syndrome'. They know their thinking and the time for their cult is past- Islam should have died in the dark ages in which it was born. It is out of place here and now- and so they revel in death and provoke the world to retaliate against them once more.
