I'd think Edith Jones would have a better shot. She's been on the 5th Circuit for nearly two decades, so she's obviously got the pedigree. And she's at least as conservative as Brown.

Here's the guy who is a lock for confirmation. No way could the Senate 'Rats filibuster a fellow sitting Senator! He's the perfect age as well.

I don't know anything about Edith Brown--you're the expert here. I have a feeling W already knows who he will be nominating, he's just going to let the Dems and Msm "misunderestimate" him! Just as he went along with looking for a VP--and chose Dick Cheney. He probably had him in mind all along. It will be fun to watch the Dems in hysterics and "demanding" to have a say.
