That's not worth much after 25 years. As I said, there are at least three guys in that photo of Rosen being escorted who look similar to Ahmadinejad. Everyone now agrees that the first one we fingered as Ahmadinejad is in fact not him, based on the nose-hump and earlobes. That should inspire a little caution in these ID's.
Agree. If the lobes were different that would easily settle it.

I beg to differ. If someone held me hostage for 444 days. I would know their faces for the rest of my life.

Well, I guess we can't do much more than that. From what I've seen people are pretty hit or miss about recognizing someone they haven't see in years, or mistaking that person for someone else.

You mean the CIA that failed to connect the dots to 9/11? The same CIA that said WMD's in Iraq were a slam dunk? The CIA that is still insisting that Iran is 5-6 years away from acquiring nukes? That CIA?
Why would anyone expect the CIA to know anything. Iran has been a closed society since 1979. Our vaunted intelligence agencies haven't had a clue about what's going on the middle east for years. Why would anyone expect them to have known about this guy?
Shadows and picture quality.
There is no doubt that they look exactly the same in the the eyes. I can consider the "picture quality" issue.
In my opinion, none of this matters. Iran sucks no matter who is "president-elect", and they are soon to be invaded.

But I just find it interesting that they are even trying to deny that he was one of the hostage takers.
Obviously, THEY don't want people associating him with that incident. Which is why we should make sure their lies are exposed. However trivial they may seem.
Don't be ridiculous. Are you really suggesting that the CIA rigged the Iranian elections so that this guy would get elected so that the WOT could get a shot in the arm?
