The CIA seems to be a joke. The rumours of it's "all knowing, all seeing" abilities are nothing but pure fantasy.
We have antiAmerican protestors here in USA, too. Bill Clinton and John Kerry! To me what they did, protesting against USA, and Clinton organized antiAmerican protests in England, is just about as bad as the hostage taking. They are all on the same page - Kerry, Clinton, and new president of Iran. All antiAmerican.
Yes it does. It was posted on the daily toons thread yesterday (but that doesn't mean it isn't the real deal) but I've got a pretty busy schedule lately so I wasn't sure if anyone had gotten to the bottom of it.
They did catch it. Support for the war on terror is fading in this country. The government needs a new event to stoke it. How about war with Iran? Rekindle all of the anger from 1979 and seeing our people bound and degraded on the TV, that ought to do it. War with Iran will be a much easier sell here if this guy is the President.
The nose also?
Ahmadinejad's nostrils are huge. An especially good example is the picture in the top row, middle. Check out the bottom row, middle, for the size of the nose in general.
I'm not seeing much reason to think it's him.
The fact is, all these guys sort of look alike, and so far in that picture of the hostage being escorted I've seen all three guys on the right identified by somebody or other here as Ahmadinejad. It's not evidence of his presence there so much as it is evidence that Middle Eastern faces have a lot of generic similarity.
He could have been there --- it hasn't been established that he was or wasn't --- but I don't think any photographic proof has yet been produced.

What we need are some good then and now pics of the ears.
That last photo looks most like him.
However, Ahmadinejad is a little short guy. The guy in the photo looks more average height.
This was the 70's.
Everyone wore those lifters.
