Four Servicemen, one from each of the branches of the service, were arguing about which service was best. As they argued, they started to cross the street, only to be hit and killed by a bus.
As they stood before St. Peter, they decided to have him decide which branch was the best. St. Peter thought about it, then said, "Gentlemen, I can't make that sort of determination. What I can do is ask God next time I see him, then get back to you."
Well, time went by and our four servicemen went about being angels. One day, St. Peter approached them, handed them a letter, and said, "Here is God's answer as to which branch of the service is best." They huddled around and it read:
"Gentlemen,
Each branch of the service is equally important. Every serviceman plays an important part in keeping America safe. You are all to be commended on the sacrifices you made in your mortal lives, your country is proud of you.
Signed,
God
USMC Retired."

The Air Force has the smartest enlisted personnel. We stayed at the base and sent our officers out to fight.
