Granted there may very well be "intelligent Life" elsewhere.
But elsewhere is all very far away.
It's not that I haven't put some thought into the 'what ifs'. I have and had I more time I would be happy to share my musings.
Notwithstanding the possibilities (which are all remote)I will in fact need to have first hand evidence, subject to intense and repeated tests and verifications of my choosing, before I'd ever buy into ETs visiting earth.

The problem is, even if you show someone a tape of an event (something like a downlink tape from a Space Shuttle... just for example), people will only believe if they are inclined to. Look at the amazing ability liberals have to ignore obvious evidence that their policies cause harm. People will believe what they want to believe, and in this case, in UFO's and against regardless of evidence.
For myself, I know there is something to the whole UFO thing. I know it for a fact. I don't know what they are, but I know they exist. That said, Roswell really was just a military exercise. It's funny that so many focus on Roswell (a red herring) when other more credible events have occured.
