As heard on the Hugh Hewitt show, ABC's Terry Moran, upon the conclusion of President Bush's speech at Ft. Bragg, actually made the comment that the crowd was very quiet and only applauded when prompted to do so my the President's advance team.
A colonel then called Hugh's show. At a non-partisan event such as this, the soldiers would have certainly been told that proper decorum was not to cheer and interrupt the President.
The death spiral of the mainstream media continues. Twenty years from now, your grandchildren will be asking, "Grandpa, what was ABC, CBS, and NBC?"
Terry Moran is a card carrying member of the MSM slime.
Ranks right up there with Bruce Morton and Candy (have another candy!) Crowley.
< These MSM'ers make me sick! >
There aren't many of them anyway per the latest ratings.
All of the above!!!
I highly doubt it, my guess is your thoughts come by email every morning from moron.com.
I think he was saying the applause was genuine and the rube comment was for Moran. Don't flame him until we know.
Thanks for the link. I needed that! Curiously refreshing to call a a$$ hole and a$$ hole.
No he was pissing on the graves of my young brothers and sisters in arms. Screw him.
I wasn't sure. I thought he was acknowledging that when there was applause, it was genuine. I'm as guilty as the rest when I sometimes jump on someone too quickly.
I didn't it the abuse button on it, I wanted to engage it in debate. Actually, if truth be known, I wanted to smash his nose with my fist. George Washingtons example compels me to be truthful here. :-}
Lest we forget , Terry Moran told Hugh Hewitt that the media hated the military:
" There is, Hugh, I agree with you, a deep anti-military bias in the media.
One that begins from the premise that the military must be lying, and that American projection of power around the world must be wrong."
Terry Moran's sister, Margaret Zwisler was the one who dropped the dime on Linda Chavez and scuttled her nomination. Chavez claimed Zwisler was a liar.
MRC.org :
"ABC News broke the story of Linda Chavez's sheltering an illegal immigrant for two years a decade ago,
a story that led to her withdrawing as the Bush nominee for Labor Secretary.
Some have detected the fine hands of former Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos,
now with ABC News, and former Clinton White House lawyer Neil Eggleston, who represents a Chavez neighbor named Margaret Zwisler,
for whom the immigrant worked.
Zwisler, a Democrat and a trial lawyer, is thought to be the likely source of the Chavez story. And it turns out that Zwisler is also the sister of ABC News correspondent Terry Moran."
I doubt that Mr. Moran will find much joy in his in-box tonight.
