As opposed to what? What would you libertarians have us do? Have you people had a candidate put forth that can take on a DemonRat? If so when? You are not even coming close. I agree with much of what you have to say, but I have to protect me and mine from worse case scenarios.

 

According to your way of thinking I guess we should all just go belly up and not even bother. How do you expect to get anything done at all? Should we elect DumbocRats merely because we don't like a repubs single issue or pet pork project? How are you helping the situation by sitting around with a pessimistic attitude, pointing out the worst of everything imaginable with no solution put forth that is even remotely doable?

We ended up with Slick Willy because of third party shenanigans. Until there is a viable libertarian candidate accepted by the majority we have to elect the candidate closer to our beliefs. I certainly prefer republican ideals as compared to liberal, left wing, socialist puke.

If a party runs a strong candidate it won't matter how many 'third parties' there are.

So, would you ever be willing to hold Republicans to account and shout "Enough!"? Your strategy simply tells them to go ahead and keep doing what they're doing, because there are no consequences, ever. They've got your support no matter what.

That's gotten us where we are. Until you free your mind of the party-line shackles, nothing will change and the two Big Stupid Government parties have nothing to fear.
