They want a clean Lawfull Commerce in Firearms Bill out of Senate.

How about just removing the "F" from BATFE and enforcing the BoR? Is that to effing much to ask of our polticial heroes?

"...DOle may have lost teh electino but the real BIG TIME losers are those that still blame Perot for Dole's lackluster performance. Quite sad, really."

Your responses have shown your ignorance of history. Dole ran against Clinton during Clinton's 2nd term. Hell I voted for Perot in 92, look what it got us!

Clinton got into office in 1992
Clinton 43%
Bush 37%
Perot 19%

Dole ran in 1996
Clinton 49%
Dole 40%
Perot 8%

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars. (THR)

I nominate that as Quote of the Day!!

I've been here long enough to not need to close my sarcasm tags.

Real Freepers can see them; newbies generally can't.

Dang, I tried to out do El Rushbo and deal with you with half of a half of a half of a half of my brain tied behind my back.

I guess I need to unleash another sixteenth of my brain on you.

a friend of mine who works for the FBI told me that the judges are very hard on warrants pertaining to the patriot act.

I'll read this legislation, but I don't see it as a big threat with what we've been presented.

Yes, thank goodness the Constitution is the law of the land, and we have the federal Supreme Court to protect us from state intrusions upon it. I feel much safer just thinking about how helpful the Supreme Court has been in protecting my most cherished rights, setting precedent like Kelo to keep state governments from tearing up my Constitutional rights. Boy, how could I ever have been so foolish as to think giving the federal government the power to delineate the expanse of human rights was a mistake!?!?! It's so obvious now...the federal government is the IDEAL party to determine what rights should be protected! It's not at ALL like handing the fox the keys to the henhouse. The Supreme Court is like Superman, standing for truth, justice, and the American way, along with Mom and apple pie! I can't believe that the American people would ever feel bad about something done by the federal government as personified by the Supreme Court. After all, they're protecting our rights, and now, states are all limited by the same extremely restrictive view of state action as expounded in Kelo and other incredibly harsh views of government action! Hurrah for incorporation! Hurrah!

Wrong way to look at it. The Constitution is a list of things the GOVERNMENT can do. If it ain't on the list, can't do it. Period. If it is an explicit PROTECTION for a Right, then NO ONE can touch it.

Just read the Constitution. It's all there in plain English.

To: Dead Corpse; glock rocks

Today, people seem to enjoy waiving their rights as much as they purport to enjoy waving the flag.

I shake pom-poms for no one. My Rights are my own. I'll wave the Flag proudly again when I can exercise my Rights, some of which are protected in the BoR, without having to worry about some government agent/enforcer shooting me for it.

This 4th, my flag will be upside down as a sign of a Nation in Distress. My Marine Corps colors will be flying right next to it.
