This is propaganda, I do believe. Have to look up my source, but, IIRC - pure propaganda, and of the untrue sort. They bear their share of library burning. Most of the stuff we saved from the muslim east was really saved by the Byzantines, and only via the others later.
Didn't mean to catch you off guard. Just reacting to a few classics courses. Just the other day I heard that a Greek philosopher was the originator of the all men are like grass concept - here I was sure it was from a more 10th C BC source.

Her poetry is better than a lot of the rest we have preserved.
