You know, that's about when I left that piece also.

No need to read the rest of it, I knew exactly what she was gonna say.

These people can take anything they want and put a negative spin on it.

"One month after 9/11, we invaded Afghanistan, took down the Taliban, and left ... And of course, the oil pipeline (a.k.a. the Caspian Sea pipeline) is better protected by U.S. troops who now have a “legitimate” excuse to be in that part of Afghanistan."

Which is it? How did we leave and still have troops there?

Heh. I was there through May 03. A friend of mine just got whacked there. We left, huh?

But as far as violence goes, Budweiser here needs to read the history of Afghanistan some time. It never had elections before, ever; it has never had a strong central government; it has always been a mélange of ethnicities and tribes and languages and even religions, each one fighting for precedence.

I don't even think she has a close relation with a 9/11 victim, IIRC she's a cousin or something. I wondered who would give her the microphone, and then I saw it was from the Huffington Puffington... the Paris Hilton of the blogosphere. Who reads that crap?
