Three to five days of non-perishable food is always stocked in the GRRRRR Shelter...the only thing I don't have is plenty of water stored...but we do have bathtubs to fill.
Ammo, never can have enough of it...

Walmart sells 6-gallon heavy duty storage bottles in the Camping Department - $7 I think. Ours have been filled & in the garage since at the latest October 2001 with no leaks. We should cycle the water out at some time, though.
Food is in 5-gallon new paint buckets. Lowe's does not sell lids - Home Depot does. Home Depot also has orange ones rather than just white, so I bought one of those for a sanitation bucket.

Ammo - The monetary unit of the future.
Comes in many denominations.
So the ammo is for your neighbors that didn't prepare and then show up after the event, planning to help themselves to your supplies? And for agents of the state, which is also inadequately prepared and sees the imminent value of your thoughtfully acquired supplies?
If they come for your stuff, do not resist to the death, bro! But you really should not advertise that you prepare and think and such. Everybody will remember your words when their crisis appears.
Do you have dehydrated food?
...and ~30 GL in the hot water heater. With my own well and pump, another 30 GL in the holding tank.
I should get a generator.
Too late for Aug 22, out on vacation in PA.
You also have a water heater full of clean water and the water in the tank of a toilet is clean as well. In my case, that makes 56 gallons of water, even if water pressure dropped to zero.
