Not a single individual at the core of this problem gives a damn about the Church itself; they are only interested in justification of their personal choices beneath the blessing of the Church. Separate from the fact that their Scriptural basis is completely lacking, why would they force their Church to be made a laughing stock because of their personal agenda. Their selfishness boggles the mind.

Exactly, this was my biggest problem with Gene Robinson. What an utterly selfish man, to bring an entire worldwide communion of Christians to its knees just to legitimize his dirty sex habits.

Yes indeed. homosexuality is of course an extreme form of narcissism, so naturally it is all about ME!!!

They remind me a bit of Casey Martin, the handicapped golfer who sued to use a golf cart in the U.S. Open, successfully arguing before a non-golfing judge that the walking was not a factor in the final score.
Anyone who has walked and played a 7,000-yard course knows differently. But Martin, who claimed to be dedicated to golf, did more damage to the sport than anyone in memory, forcing it into the courts, making a competitive sport abide by the rules of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
