Me too - in the Catholic church and very happy, should have made the move long ago.

I have said before that our family was sitting and mourning beside a dead body while the orthodox, living, breathing Church was waiting for us right around the corner.

The ECUSA bigwigs will deny until the end of time that any resolution by the Anglican Communion (1) means what it says; (2) has any effect on them. They will continue in their destructive course.

We don't have time to wait while their little charade plays out over years and years. They are a whited sepulchre and it is dangerous to remain in communion with them.

My great-nephew left the Episcopal Church and joined the Eastern Orthodox Church and his wife left the Roman Catholic and they are quite glad they did. They wanted to be attending the same Church for many reasons.

Her sister and brother-in-law, who have been upset over the sex scandals in the Roman Catholic Church, are scheduled to start classes in oredr to join the Orthodox Church as well.

I was told that the Priest where they are going to start classes left the Episcopal Church a few years ago and became an Eastern Orthodox priest. I gather that married Episcopal priests becoming E.O. clergy has happened many times in the past few years.

I must admit that that surprised me, but, my nephew says the Orthodox Church welcomes married clergy openly and in fact, encourages marriage among the clergy.

How is the ECUSA board elected? Any way to toss them out on their rumps?
