"Intuition is so often unreliable, that I do not put much stock in mine."
A major mistake. Read The Gift of Fear.
I can't stand how long this is taking. The Dutch need some lessons on interrogation. I probably could get those three talking in 30 minutes.
"what girl in her right mind"
There's no evidence that she was in her right mind. Also, several witnesses said that the 2 brothers appeared to be crouched down in the back seat, popping up as the car pulled away with her in the front seat, meaning she may not have known they were there when she got in.
Not mine.
My intuition has never failed me.
"Re sex slavery: Where does a 17 year old get the money to feed his gambling habit."
Dealing X is the allegation that's been made.
Simply because a person does drugs (which is alleged) does not make it likely that they go around drugging people without their knowledge or consent.
What do you expect her friends to say? Friends or family would never publicly proclaim that she was a heavy drinker or a wild kid. Even if she wasn't a heavy drinker or wild kid at home in Alabama, that doesn't say anything about how should would act on an exotic trip.
BTW, a girl doesn't have to be a heavy drinker/wild kid to drink enough to get messed up. All it takes is a 2 or 3 drinks.
Huh? My point was that problems that plague a nation don't necessarily plague its overseas territories.
Again, while the Netherlands may have a problem with Muslim immigration, Aruba does not.
Don't any of your local grocery stores have online shopping and home delivery? We can't have hungry pets, fer cryin' out loud.
Oh, and be sure and click a few snacks into the order for yourself.
The guys who beat Shepard were homosexuals too? I've read several articles in which they stated they didn't know he was "gay", they were into drugs and robbery.
They also stated that they were ordered to keep their mouths shut about it. Reason being that Shepard wouldn't have been made into a "gay" martyr if it were known that his beating death was solely due to drugs and robbery instead of "homophobia".
Wow, the white sex slavery ring must be booming with THREE! white women missing in the entire Caribbean in the past couple of years!
"Simply because a person does drugs"
I never said he did drugs. I said he (allegedly) dealt drugs. Reading comprehension is our friend :)
I understood what you meant the first time. Regardless, what you are suggesting is a stretch.
"Wow, the white sex slavery ring must be booming with THREE! white women missing in the entire Caribbean in the past couple of years!"
Excuse me. I never said/implied it was booming. The poster said there was no evidence of women on the radar disappearing. I simply pointed to two other cases where American women had, in fact, disappeared, one a case where there was credible evidence that white slavery was involved.
And though it may amuse you, I doubt the news that only THREE! white women disappeared has been of much comfort to their families.
"I understood what you meant the first time. Regardless, what you are suggesting is a stretch."
That's where we part company, then, bcse I don't think it's a stretch to assume that a drug dealer would be more likely to drug a drink than a non-dealer.
This whole thread should be flamed!
I'm not amused by the disappearance of these women, I'm amused by the rampant speculation and theorizing going on here and elsewhere. It IS amusing all the experts we have.
Aruba could very easilly be a transhipment point for the Muslim slave trade. Dutch officials could easily be charmed by the money therein.
You said that America had a Mexican immigration problem but it doesn't affect Guam. Perhaps it would affect Guam if the Mexicans were into the slave trade.
Sorry you don't like my theory. Maybe we'll know for sure soon.
How much of this slave trade can there possibly be with just one person every year or two disappearing? Good grief. You have a very over-active imagination.
Or maybe a little rough sex ...
