Just ran across this.

Saturday's news from the island brought a whirlwind of reports and retractions.

tNL reported that Ministry of Justice, Rudy Croes, had stated that the teenage girl from Alabama had been murdered and her body had been found. That report also stated that authorities were preparing to retrieve the body.

That report was later recanted by Croes and tNL carried that as well. [Related story] He stated late Saturday night that the government has no new information on Miss Holloway, and the official stance is now apparently that the Aruba government has no idea if the missing girl is alive or dead.

I just got up and already have to don the tinfoil! Did they really find Natalie and, to keep crime rates low, "unfind" her and issue retraction? Did they find someone else who looked similar to Natalie but when they got to that body (they mentioned something about preparing to retrieve) realized that it was someone else? If that is the case, who was that person? An unreported murder/death - unreported to keep crime rate figures down or to protect someone?

I'm glad tinfoil isn't itchy, but its hard to move around in!
