My sister attended Shades Cahaba (memory is fuzzy). I remember her going to Hall-Kent before SC, and she was two years ahead of me in school. Homewood Jr. High opened in 1957, and she was stuck with little brother there for one year before moving to SVHS in the 10th grade. She must have been at SC for 7th and 8th grades (55-56, 56-57).

My wife and I lived near B'ham until Labor Day 1983. I remember Jay Jason, but did not know of his untimely death. Hope you and your wife have a safe and fun visit in Alabama The Beautiful this September.

ROFLOL. I went to Hall Kent for several years. We lived at 232 Kent Lane. The school was at least 50 years old at that time. :) I attended SC in the 7th and half of the 8th grade. I graduated from HS in 1960, and you will have to do the math.

My wife is Russian and has lived in America since 2001. She has never seen Alabama, and just gained her citizenship. We have enjoyed learning about and traveling in both countries. http://home.kc.rr.com/thebutners/
