Hershey! Before falling in love with the Malinois, we were owned by dachsies! The major difference between the breeds is amazing. The Belgians coem when ya call them, and are not so darned stubborn. But, dachsies wouldn't be bothered much by cargo, where separation from us would wreak havoc on the Malinois brain...

Oh boy, you've had the best of the dog world! Dachies and now Belgian Malinois! Alas, it's true that my dachsies only come when called, when they think it's their idea...(I have food, or treats.) I was busy typing last night and my daughter came in and said, Look behind you! The gang had torn the stuffing out of a large pillow, quietly, right there on 'our' bed. No shame, either. I'm fascinated by the thought of a really, really sensitive dog. Dachsies are sensitive, as you know, if yelled at or spanked, even a tiny swat. I had greyhounds for some years, and they were sensitive characters. Not even a tiny swat allowed. I suspect a former trainer of at least one grey I had, had used a cattle prod on her. Horrible thought.
