I watched Greta's interview (thank you for posting the text) last night and probably like most of you, my jaw dropped when John implicated the family/father in the fabrication of the story. Shortly thereafter, Greta interviewed the lady from 'Aruba Today' for a balanced perspective. (Yea, right.) I was amazed at her talent for total recall. She immediately remarked that she had heard John's original comments on the matter and claimed he said "the boys" concocted the story. I'd love to see the transcript of John's first telling of his conversation with Deepak because something about the AT lady bugs me.
Thanks for that review of the Aruban mafia and its members and activities.
I found it interesting where that one fellow says "If I know what the government is going to do tomorrow, I read El Diario today."
We have been noticing that Jossy Mansur says something to Greta one night and VOILA! the next day the govrnment investigators do just that.
I am beginning to lose hope that Natalee will ever be found in such an atmosphere of intrigue, infighting, and corruption.
So, the prosecuters office said this and not a journalist? Did she say they wanted to interview Jug and the ex bf or is that a different report?
This was that older journalist (with "Aruba Today"), the guy with glasses; a big guy. At least talking about the friends.
But Carol McKinley was reporting on what the government official said about maybe arresting more people.
I kept trying to hang in there and believe the authorities would do the right thing even though they screwed up the beginning of the investigation, but when they let PVDS go, that did it for me.
As for the McKinley report, I actually wondered to myself if they have to ARREST people down there to QUESTION them.

The security guard was interviewed by Greta last night and was a very impressive witness. He heard from the boys, while they were all in jail, that the father helped them cook up their cover story.

Nita to answer your email - Yes I have a Tivo like system. I can record things if I set it to record. Or I can replay (rewind) things that I am "currently" watching on TV. I did not watch Dayside today so there is no way to replay it on my Tivo like system.

He is a sleazeball. I can't believe he was allowed to throw out those theories on FOX. He must be working for the Van der Sloots.

brigette--your recaps of the timeline and accompanying events on this thread are excellent. It helps us to get a hold of the sequence of events and who did what. (Theoretically).
How thorough was the search of the Van der Sloot property? I'm thinking of that guy in Oregon who killed his two 13 year old neighbors a couple of months apart. Both bodies were hidden right on his property, which police searched several times without finding them.
Also, did they search the property of VDS neighbor who ia "away"? The ones with the monkey? These internationalists spend time "away"--back in Holland or wherever--for three or six or nine months at a clip. Perhaps Joran and the father took advantage of the neighbors' absence to hide a body somewhere on their property--even though it is mighty close to home.
Did the text message say 'I made it home' or MJ's version that when he got home he would talk to him on line?
So far the only Aruban I tend to put any faith in is MJ, JMO.

On the same line, I wonder if they do their investigation in sections because they have to have something new for the judge at each new hearing. I think I remember the gov. representative saying that more is needed each court appearance.
I don't think there's a whole lot going on, so you probably won't miss much. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, they are going to let them all go, imo.
