That's one thing cops know about kids, they blab like crazy to each other. If this fades away with no N found and no charges, J will eventually boast about how tough he is and what really happened...wonder if he will turn out like Michael Skakel, in that case. Convicted years later.

I want to remind all of you of this... they may force the Twitty's off the island

Non-citizens of Aruba cannot remain on the island for longer than 90 days without a residency permit. To obtain a permit, you must be able to show financial resources to support yourself (and anyone staying with you) without employment, along with other information. Contact the immigration authorities in Aruba for details.

Tourists
Tourists may enter Aruba without a written permit and may remain for a period not exceeding 14 days. For tourists who are subjects of countries which have an agreement with the Kingdom of the Netherlands to abolish the visa obligation - this agreement also being applicable to Aruba - the aforementioned period is three months. Citizens of the Netherlands or the Netherlands Antilles may stay up to six months.

For entering Aruba tourists from the United States of America must be in possession of ONE of the following:

Valid US Passport

Valid 'laissez-passer' issued by the United Nations

US-born citizens: Official state-issued birth certificate (original only) with
a raised seal and ID photograph.

US citizens born outside the US: Certificate of Naturalization (original
only) with a raised seal and ID photograph.

US-residents (who are not US citizens) must have a re-entry permit or
Alien Registration Card (Green Card)
Tourists are not allowed to work, look for or accept any work during their stay, neither are they permitted to do business or participate in any business on the island.

Tourists should have in their possession:

a return ticket, or a ticket to travel elsewhere outside Aruba
the necessary documents for returning to the country of origin, or for further travel elsewhere (visa, etc.)
sufficient means at their disposal to be able to support themselves during their stay in Aruba and must be able to prove this, if requested. upon arrival in Aruba

Click here for more information on visas, Aruba Customs/Immigration.

Temporary Permits
The same conditions stated above are required for a temporary residence-permit. The persons concerned are not allowed to work, to look for or accept work without the explicit consent of the authority who issued the (written) temporary residence-permit. Neither are they permitted to do business, participate in any business, or start any business on the island.

Permanent Residence Permit
When requesting a residence-permit without a working permit, one must submit:

bank references indicating that the applicant is financially self-supporting or any other proof that he/she will not become a financial burden to the local government or community
the home and business addresses for the last ten years
the reasons for wanting to reside in Aruba
police-clearance (good conduct-paper, not older than 2 months)
Persons desiring a permanent residence-permit must be in possession of:

a passport valid for Aruba
three passport photographs of true likeness
a valid vaccination certificate for smallpox, not more than three years old
a medical declaration that the holder is not suffering from any contagious disease or mental sickness, issued within 30 days before the trip started
a proof of payment of the required legal fee
BACK TO TOP

Temporary or Permanent Work Permit
Any foreigners who want to exercise a profession must have a work permit. The work permit will normally be granted only if there are no qualified persons locally available. In general, requests for work-permits will only be taken into consideration if filed through a local employer, who has to accept full responsibility for any possible expenses to be made by the government relative to the employee(s).

Written Permits
With the exception of tourists, all other persons should have a written permit to prove their legal presence on the island. This means that one (unless a tourist) should not travel to or be on the island pending a request for a residence-and/or work permit.

Jug is diplomatically saying they've not had full cooperation with authorities. Beth says all of Natalees belongings were in the HI and that she did not come back after leaving with Joran & Kalpoe bros.

Conversation w/ Joran was frustrating because the dad kept telling him to say nothing. Jug & Beth KNOW Joran did something to Natalee, but Beth KNOWS PVDS knows something. Beth says she couldn't believe how much he sweated during that interview and that his actions were abnormal.

Jug says he has contacted Richard Shelby's office and other pols. They just need some help from the U.S. Beth says it crossed her mind today that Joran must be very well connected too. He's just a 17 yr old kid sitting in jail and they still don't know anything more now than when they got there.....

Greta remarked that there doesn't seem to be anything new to report and Jug says he's sick of repeating the same old things. They really want some help and have been more than patient.... My heart aches for them.

Wow, Beth saying during that interview at the VDS house, she never saw anyone sweat that night like PVDS did, in a well ventilated room, at that. He had/has information, and acts guilty. Plus, neither he nor Joran came forward to help search for Natalee, not once. As Jug said, if it'd been him, and his son had been with Natalee the night she'd vanished, he'd have made his son help look for her. Common decency demanded no less, and that didn't happen.

I'll go with Beth. I'm absolutely convinced "hot shot" is guilty.

I'm convinced J is guilty, too. Probably accidentally killed her after raping her...an FBI profiler, Pat Brown, outlined this a few days ago on Fox as her take on what happened, and it makes sense. J being what and who he is, thought he'd get sex from N simply because she got into that car, and N didn't agree, so he got rough, and she died.

Well, wouldn't that wrap things up nicely for the VDS's -- if Aruba, (with deep regret), forced the Twitty's to leave.

Mariaine Croes, prosecution's spokeperson, won't come out and definitely answer Greta's question about whether or not they've captured text messages. She just says, "that is something we've looked into." Same old crap....

this may be why Beth continues to clearly say she will not leave without Natalee - she probably knows about this 90 day limit.

the US should ban all
Arubans and Dutch from
coming here until NH
is found, dead or alive.

Jug was asking for the US to pressure the Dutch govt. for help. If they've contacted Sen. Shelby, surely he'll make a few heavy phone calls. This has really opened up a can of worms for Aruba's island paradise image.

I am not taken up for the VDS, but none of that proves that anyone is guilty. It could be that PVDS and Joran was on the defensive due to this group of people showing up at their house at 3 a.m. in the morning.

Did you hear Jug say that he stood off while there was a confrontation between PVDS and 3 of Jugs friends.

I think that I would be somewhat thrown off myself. I hope that Aruba LE are looking at others as well.

There are 2 stories out there...

One is...

Joran called Deepak at about 2:30 AM to tell him he is heading home from the beach then he text messages Deepak to say he made it home safely 45 minutes later (3:15 AM).

the other is

Joran called Deepak for a ride home at about 2:30, then Joran text messages Deepak at about 3:15am, to tell Deepak he found a ride home.

Now we have...

then now comes the 4:00am story (from Geraldo) that "they" were told today that PVDS picked up Joran and took him home at 4:00am that same morning.

If the brothers were at home, it sounds to me that they told him to forget it and that they were not going back out again just to pick him up or they told him to try and find another ride home and if he couldn't for him to call them back.

Just a thought ...

A phone record may exist verifying the 2:30 am phone call but unless there's a recording or witness there's no way to verify the conversation that took place. JvdS may have called DK for a ride home or for some other reason. Why would some call anyone for a ride home at 2:30am, then wait 45 MINUTES, finally text messaging he's found a ride?

On second though, perhaps JvdS did call for a ride but it wasn't to his home. Maybe it was from his home.
