I agree! I have been through this and it isn't fun. This is one area my lib dem sister is very conservative in her thinking. She's royally pissed off and wanting to start a campaign to change things.

What state would ratify it without an armed rebellion literally putting guns to their legislators' heads? But I agree. This should be drafted at once.

Yes. But meanwhile, Congress should also pass a law to end such eminent domain abuse. It has the power to do so under the commerce clause. If it can regulate what people grow in their backyard, it can certainly protect their backyards from the Donald Trumps of the world.
