You'd panic too if you lived in Las Vegas and a bunch of County Commissioners were caught taking bribes from developers (up to $200,000!!!) Look out now, it will be open season on land, we already had a bunch of scandals downtown.

Come on I live in Chicago where they would arrest you for bribing with such a small sum as 200 grand. That would not provide enough to go up the line and payoff all with their hands out.
Which is actually the point. These are LOCAL problems and can only be prevented/corrected at the local level. Looking for salvation from Washington will not be successful.
