BALDWIN PARK -- Two groups are now planning to protest at the Baldwin Park Metrolink station Saturday, even though only one has filed for the permit required by a new city ordinance.
The leader of the anti-illegal immigration group Save Our State remained defiant about protesting the monument at the station, even though the group does not have a permit.
"I would love for them to arrest me,' SOS Executive Director Joseph Turner said Monday. "I am looking to inflict all the pain I can on Baldwin Park.'
The police would not comment on what tactics they would use to handle the crowds, but said arrests will be made if fighting occurs or any laws are broken.
Police officials said they cannot prevent SOS members from demonstrating, despite the new city ordinance.

Very Interesting.
BTTT!!
This is going to get very ugly if the PD does not do its job. Although I agree the American citizen has the right to peacefully assemble to address grievances, this Joe Turner guy in my opinion is looking for a fight. As a spokesman for The Minuteman HG (Minuteman Project) we have asked several top leaders within our organization to stay away from this event, as far as I know, they are. Even though this is a Save Our State rally, the fact that there will be several original Minuteman volunteers who served on the border with me present at this rally, it is been billed as a Minuteman function by our racist Mexican separatist to rally it's forces. They have Brown Berets (Mexican hate group) coming all the way from Santa Cruz to counter protest this SOS rally.
As a former U.S. Cavalry officer, this reminds me of Custer and the 7th Cav. riding into the Little Big Horn.
It does appear that Joe what's 'is name is spoiling for an incident. But if you recall the Reconquistas threatened violence in April and because of the LE presence and the high Media presence taping everything none happened. Let's pray that the same holds true for this.
I'm sure glad they are doing this on a weekend. My dear husband uses that train station every workday to get to his job. This is liable to get very ugly.
One thing is for certain though. We never shop in Baldwin Park anymore.
