How do you adjust UTC time to CST time?

UTC is 6 hours ahead of CST.

5 hours Daylight time, I believe. 12:00 UTC is 6 am cST or 5 AM Central Daylight time

During Daylight savings it's GMT-6 hours; outside of Daylight Savings it's GMT-5 hours.
