I haven't been watching the interview with them. But, I find $50,000 a low figure for 600 guests. My daughter's wedding with 100 guests was pretty steep (I thought). I can't imagine feeding, entertainment, space rental, decorations, flowers, etc. for a group of 600 being (only!) $50,000 even without booze.

Gee, I don't know about spending for a wedding. I have three sons, no daughters. The girls they married, paid for the weddings.
Which were small, only close family and a few friends.
