FNC had the editor of a local Aruba newspaper on a few minutes ago -
He was not doing a CYA - He cririticized the investigation - letting the 3 go so they could concoct stories and alibies - and said Daddy Van Der Sloot his probably helped his son Joran with a story
I think the father may have actually been involved with getting rid of Natalee Holloway's dead body - perhaps contacting someone to dispose of her where she can never be found
I'd say the father came up with the "blame the hotel security guards" stuff - Remember - Those two were arrested based on the statements of Johan Van Der Sloot and the other two now held - and being transferred from jail to prison
Note they searched those two men's homes and vehicles immediately - but as far as the Van Der Sloot's home and vehicles - Official CYA comment was/is: "We can't just act like cowboys and search people's homes and cars!"
The Van Der Sloat family has hired an attorney now to defend them
The body is most likely at sea - deep out at sea

I'm tending to agree with you. I don't like that Van Der Slut family at all. We already know the kid is a spoiled, indulged brat with anger management difficulties otherwise known as sociopathy.
I'm still leaning towards JVDS being the Aruban Robert Chambers, but he had help disposing of the body. The father is starting to look more and more like the likely candidate.
that was Jossy Mansour, editor of El Diario, and i caught part of this AM's interview. he was a little different than when he was on on Fri PM. Cajungirl posted a long article describing all of the criminal activity on the island of Aruba and Cosa Nostra connections etc. The Mansour family was mentioned prominently in that article and this Jossy in particular. If he is criticizing Van Der Sloot, then something has changed. on friday PM on Greta's show with the martha person, he sounded exactly like a mouthpiece for the gov't. If his tune has changed then something is different.
