I too am worried about terror states setting off bombs in our country. What do you suggest I do about it? Do you have a plan of action or are you just going to fret about it? I'm all ears.

Yeah, I do actually.

If you're serious about wanting to "do" something about EMP --which I suspect you're not due to your sarcasm, I suggest you read Frank Gaffney's report here.

Gaffney explains the threat (it's no ordinary bomb, but potentially far more lethal than a direct nuclear strike on an American city, and yet requires less high technology to produce). He also says what to do about it.

I'll be brief here since I've already been admonished I'm on the "wrong thread." (It's SOOOO much more important for some FReepers to play amateur detective for Natalee, you see).

But what you can do is:
1. Read Frank Gaffney's article. Pay particular attention to the section titled "What is to be done?
2. Do whatever you can to bring pressure on Congress to RESPOND to their own blue-ribbon EMP Threat Commission's report, and appropriate money to begin "hardening" vital computer circuitry; and
3. Consider, if you haven't already done so, building up a supply of food, etc. to help ride out weeks, or possibly even months, of possible total collapse of commerce and civil society -- in the event Congress doesn't do something about this SOON.
