My daughter has an AOL account for Instant Messenger set up on one of my office computers as she assists me part time. The username and password are held in memory and I can log on to her account at any time.
I'm sure that activity has come to a crawl with all the scrutiny. It has to be costing them big time. Probably why Beth Twitty is saying she won't leave. She sknows it's hurting the bad guys.
Surely, the bad aruban govt. guys are working with the venezuelan and columbian bad guys. Maybe Mr. Twity stumbled across something on a business trip.
He was a retired policeman!
Yes, I have been thinking that also. With the FBI, media, etc. all over the place I am sure the cartel business has come to a hault, or close to it. That is what is hurting them, not the tourist trade loss.
But, although Beth Twitty may have some ideas about this, I am sure she only cares about finding her daughter. Any of the illegal activity being discovered might be enlightening, but I bet she is trying to just focus on Natalee. Unfortunately, perhaps, she might be learning things along the way, that no one wants known.
However, as long as the media keeps supporting her, interviewing her, watching her...she is safe. No one would harm her. But, without that spotlight, she could be in danger also.
I don't know if the post a few days ago about some relatives in Alabama receiving "threats" is true, but if what I am thinking has any speck of reality, perhaps they did, indeed, receive something that frightened them.
Did you catch his name?
Perhaps Mr. Twitty should take a polygraph and challenge the radio station to put the same pressure on Mr. vdS.

No, I sure did not; I was in and out and just caught part of it.
Sorry, what I meant was, their loss strengthens her hand.
Am I to understand from this that Natalee's parents have not been questioned by the Aruban police?
Oh, I understood you and didn't think you meant anything negative. I was just elaborating further on what might be happening. Like so many others, the intrique of this is driving us to to conjure up all sorts of possibilities. None of which, parts of which, or lots of which might be true.

With their "Criminal Justice System" almost exclusively in the control of police investigators and Judges, this is a system asking for corruption (absolute power). I noted previously how the local reporters are either uninformed or scared to death. They stammer around making excuses for the Govt., or act as if Natalee's disappearance is just one huge inconvenience.
I do believe this is a vipers' nest....a Potemkin village perhaps.

Might mean that he could be bought to say anything to steered him to say?? Wonder how many others just like him are on the island. Even theaverage joe smoe has an angle to work. lol
I don't know elli1, but I did learn an interesting tidbit this morning watching Fox & Friends First. A private investigator was commenting on the case and mentioned that Natalee's parents gave the police the names and addresses of the three young men (Joran and the two brothers) shortly after their arrival in Aruba. He stated the parents did the majority of the initial investigating and implied that the locals were incompetent.
There is a website for donations. Something like Texasequus.com? Should be easy to google.
Won't Aruba put the dogs in
quarantine for a period of
time?

Not if they spend money in the casinos
