Right now there no proof (or real rumors) that it was planned. (Yes.., it could have been, but I think the answers to if it was planned will come when more information about what happened after she got into the car comes out. Unless GHB was found in the homes or cars.
Don't take my posts the wrong way.
I am really interested in the timeline and anything that will help clear up the timeline, most of everything we hear is rumors, but still I take these rumors in to factor and see how they fit into a timeline. Like the rumor that Daddy VDS was seen at McD's at 3 am in the morning... last night that was what I had heard (I read it somewhere either here or on different board) - even though this is a rumor it has a 50/50 chance of being correct. It plays into my thoughts and it is held there. But now we hear that Daddy VDS was picking up Joran at McD's at 11pm (per Greta's show) and that may have been the only trip Daddy VDS took that night.

That Brennen is on TV now - he is just so cute and soooo very shy. Thank GOD they found him.
The one girl was "Natalee's" best friend. One of the girls stated that they left about 1am, WITHOUT Natalee. What was Natalee doing that she couldn't leave with her friends? Was she even still at the casino. I am convinced that they know she left with someone way before they did and are afraid to tell the truth.
I'd like to see a transcript of these kid's statements...they seem very inconsistent to me.
And, IMHO, part of the inconsistency may very well be due to the amount of alcohol in their systems at that time of the night.
Regardless, things are not adding up.
Exactly.
Her point being, it's "Natalee's fault."
You are right.
Interesting......do you think the friend presented that in the interview intentionally to point out it was Natalee's fault?
Brennan going to get a ton of Pokemon cards in the mail.
:-D
I had that same nagging thought --- best girlfriends stick together and know what the others are up to. I am still reeling from that statement that Natalee went over to VDS and introduced herself!
Another thing. I have yet to hear anyone mention alcohol consumption or drugs, only that Natalee didn't appear drunk. Well, how much alcohol did the girlfriends and other students imbibe? Young people do not hold their alcohol well; especially young girls. And if VDS was so well known on the island, how the heck was he permitted entry into the casino and C&C's at age 17?
There's a lot here that just doesn;t add up and I am hoping the girlfriends have told all they know, but the disjointed stories make me think that some of the girlfriends and students are foggy regarding the time line and maybe don't want to admit they were tipsy.
I always prayed to St. Anthony when anything was lost. I have included some short little prayers that are so easy to say any time, over and over.
O, Blessed Mother and St Joseph,
you searched when your Son Jesus
disappeared when he was twelve.
You would not give up
until he was found.
You know the pain of having someone missing,
and the joy of finding them,
as you found your son.
Help those who are searching now, to find the answers to their questions,
and an end to their searching.
Inspire people to be vigilant,
so that their eyes and ears
may see and hear news that will bring hope.
Comfort those who feel lonely and sad
because the one they love has vanished.
Be with them in the storm
and guide them in their efforts.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
And another:
The St. Anthony Prayers:
St. Anthony, St. Anthony
Please come down
Something is lost
And can't be found
Dear St. Anthony, I pray
Bring it back, without delay.
Something's lost and can't be found
Please, St. Anthony, look around
Maybe some of the inconsistencies are coming up because kids are trying to hide some of the things they did themselves. Not that they had anything at all to do with the crime but maybe they were partying so much themselves they weren't as observant as they should have been and maybe missed some warning signs.
Ah, you're saying the girlfriend(s) might have been a little jealous?
BRB - trash day.
You know, I am a little out of it also. But my daughter graduated three years ago and there were different groups that had different "senior" trips planned, none of which were school sanctioned. Our daughter had accepted an athletic scholarship and needed to "hone" her tennis skills, sadly for her, she could not go because of her committments. Her father and I were elated.
So this was not a school sponsored trip?
Thanks, Howlin! I just now read the whacko's posts to me. I'm assuming you reported him cause I didn't.

With me now to talk about Natalee and the search are Natalees good friend, Frances Ellen Byrd, and also Pastor Mark Yoder, who is the youth minister at Natalees church.
Lets start with you, Frances.
Tell us about your friend. Tell us aboutabout what we can do to help out.
FRANCES ELLEN BYRD, FRIEND OF NATALEE: Well, I first met Natalee in eighth grade when we had a welcoming party for her. She moved here from Mississippi.
And, ever since then, I have just been closest friends with her, as well as a few other of all of our good friends. Everybody in the school loves Natalee. Nobody can say anything bad about her. She is a straight-A student, 25 in a class out of 300 students in a veryschool where we studied very hard. She is veryhas very many honors. She is in dance team, Bible study.
Basically, she is a very responsible, well-loved child to everyone here.
SCARBOROUGH: And, Francesyou were actually with her, Frances, that night. Tell me when you and the rest of your friends first figured out that something was just not right.
BYRD: I figured out something was wrong when my friends came to knock on my door in the morning asking where she was, because Natalee was the first one up. She is the most responsible out of all of my friends. And we allNatalee is the leader of our friends.
And when she wasnt there, we went straightstraight to the chaperons because somethingwe knew something was wrong.
SCARBOROUGH: And, Frances Ellen, you all are from Mountain Brook.
Thats a part of Birmingham, correct?
BYRD: Right.
Pastor, let me bring you in. I want to ask you about the prayer vigils that you are holding for this young lady. Obviously, a lot of people in your community have been touched by her. Tell us about it.
BYRD: Yes.
MARK YODER, YOUTH PASTOR: Absolutely.
Wethe interesting thing, Natalee and her family really dont go even to our church. We were asked by some parents of students that went on the trip as well when they got back, hey, can we just have a spot where students and parents and anybody interested can gather and pray? And, you know, thats a no-brainer, so, absolutely.
So, every day for the last three days, thats exactly what we have done. And it has been aits not at all surprising because of the community that we are in, but it has been an outpouring of support and love and...
(CROSSTALK)
SCARBOROUGH: What are you hearing about thiswhat are you hearing about this young girl that is missing tonight?
YODER: Absolutely everything positive. You know, as everyone is talking about her and friendships and relationships and her future and what lies ahead, nothing but good things.
SCARBOROUGH: Let me ask you, Frances Ellen, when is the last time you saw her?
BYRD: That night.
SCARBOROUGH: Yes, you saw her the night...
BYRD: I was with her that night.
SCARBOROUGH: You were with her that night.
BYRD: Yes. Yes.
SCARBOROUGH: All the friends went back to the hotel. And did you all see her go back to the hotel or not?
BYRD: I am just leaving it that we saw her there.
SCARBOROUGH: Saw her that night.
BYRD: Right.
YODER: Yes. Absolutely.
SCARBOROUGH: All right.
Well, Frances Ellen, thank you so much for being with us tonight.
Mark, thank you. And, of course, our prayers are going to be with you, with Natalee and with Natalees family on this very important search.
BYRD: Thank you. Thank you so much.
(CROSSTALK)
YODER: We really encourage everyone to pray. Thank you.
BYRD: Pray for Natalee. She is coming home.
YODER: Yes.
SCARBOROUGH: All right. Thank you so much.
No it was not, just a tradition of the graduating seniors.
The way she was telling about joran & NH in the casino......joran was playing black jack, minding his own business (my take),
and NH intruded and introduced herself to joran.
joran didn't look up at NH. joran was too involved in the game.
Sorry, had a meeting to attend. My understanding is they are due to arrive friday.
I thought it was interesting when Greta asked her "were you scared in Aruba", and she said something like "no, not terrible, not to much" and of course Greta didn't follow up on that at all. I expect that what she meant was that it's pretty much open season on hustling the young girls in places like that so a girl (or a guy) has to watch out for the wolves, the dealers, the pimps, the beggars, and the bums, but they're mostly non-violent.... they're mostly ALL not dangerous, but you have to keep your guard up.
But Greta just moved on.
