Can you not verbalize a reason why you are opposed to the presence of certain people other than the sole fact that their presence is illegal? If that is your only objection than by giving them legal status, all of your objections are cured.

The "legal vs illegal" reason for opposing Mexican immigrants just started being used a few years ago to after other reasons given by opponents of immigrants were pr oven indefensible.
