Sometimes it takes awhile for a body to surface. But in this case that may never happen since it could have been eaten by fishes.
You can believe that she was sold into a brothel or abducted by aliens if you wish but it is clear to me that she is dead. There is no reason to have the slightest doubt about this. While there are thousands of cases of young girls being abducted and killed the number of cases of American girls being sold into brothels can be counted on one hand and that maybe one hand too many.
Some of us like to hold out hope for miracles. You may say that is gullible or ignoring the facts but I like to refer to it as being optimistic.
