Asked why investigators waited more than two weeks to search the house, the attorney general said, "You can't just go in there like a cowboy."

She said officials need to "build up an investigation" first.

Sure, that's why they arrested the two security guards and searched their homes right away! They had "built up an investigation." Right . . .

Build up an investigation? Please never depend on Aruban authorities to build up anything. They have practically made this case unsolveable with their (slow&non-methodical)CTA investigative expertise.

My response to the Aruban AG, "Lady, don't piss down my neck and tell me it's raining" NSNR

There could not be any clearer evidence that "the fix is in".

Of course, if we had real investigative journalists, the natural follow-up question should have been "Madame Attorney-General, what does law-enforcement investigators immediately searching a murder suspect's home for evidence before that evidence can be destroyed have to do with cowboys?"

I believe the Aruban government's strategy is to stall and wait for the American media to move on, then quietly sweep this under the rug.
