I think either the date rape drug didn't work, or wasn't used or wasn't strong enough, or they didn't use enough, or she didn't drink enough of it, that she knew what was goin on and who her attackers were. She could ID them and I think that is where things fall apart for the guys.
A woman doesn't stand much of a chance if she has to fight off three men, does she? I've often wondered if there would be anything a woman could do to save her life if she found herself in a situation like that. I mean, if it became apparent to her that there was absolutely no chance of escaping, I wonder what would happen if she took the opposite approach -- if she pretended to enjoy it so they wouldn't have any reason to "get rid of the witness."
That sounds horrible, but I've always wondered if the outcome would be different in such a case. It would take a very level head on her part, that's for sure. And a lot of acting skill.
