Hi..just found the thread..could I please get any answers to a few questions...not sure if they've been covered previously...

1. Did the "chaperones" really fly to Aruba on a private jet, and NOT with the kids?

2. She DID have roomates, right?..If so, then when these other girls woke at 7, or 7:30 or whatever , that morning....and saw that her bed hadn't been slept in, she hadn't been back to the room all night....they did nothing..called no one..they just showered, dress, and left? That makes NO sense whatsoever..

Ken, none of it makes any sense. At first I heard that Natalee didn't have any room mates...next I heard she did. Don't know how the adults got back.

I've maintained from day one, that the so-called chaperones should have designated a curfew and room check that evening. But I got shot down for it.

The fail safe support system wasn't in place.

Sun-tanned and not-rested, much as any bright new life might find itself glowing after a mostly uneventful but fully enjoyable trip, seniors were expected to be in the lobby of the Holiday Inn by 10:30 on Monday morning to assemble for the journey home. One young blond face of a reportedly mostly shy girl named Natalee Holloway never did join the gathering there.

Assuming she had simply stayed the night in another room with other friends, Natalee's roommates gathered up her belongings - luggage, purse, cell phone, and passport, bringing them down to the now crowding lobby in preparation for their flight home. As the bus began to load, adults began to ask questions of the seniors as to why the missing Natalee might not be there. Her friends stated that she had left Carlos and Charlies with a local boy.

It was decided that the students and 6 of the 7 chaperons for the trip would go on to the airport so as to not miss their flight back home. Many of the chaperones were veterans of the trip as it had become almost a ritual having been undertaken without incident for the past five, or so years. The remaining chaperone, who was not my source for this story, kept her belongings, including cell phone, in case she turned up at the hotel.

No, they didn't. The adult that answered that had added that maybe one that had money might of have but that no the majority did not.

2. She DID have roomates, right?..If so, then when these other girls woke at 7, or 7:30 or whatever , that morning....and saw that her bed hadn't been slept in, she hadn't been back to the room all night....they did nothing..called no one..they just showered, dress, and left? Yes she had room mates, the way it was explained was that she had so many friends that she would go from room to room and sleep.

I'm thinking that what happened is that when rooms were assigned she didn't get a room with her close friends. Hard saying but her non presences wsas brushed off as normal. Don't know if that means that she never slept in her assigned room or what.
