You know, a whole new war could break out as a result of this disappearance of one teen from Alabama. There certainly are signs of international intrigue: worldwide crime - drugs - terrorists - mafia - money laundering - illegal import/export traffic - sex trafficking - kidnapping - murder - political and government entanglements - what else? Illegal sale of guns and weapons will be next I suppose.

This was alluded to in the second season of the Wire. The international drug and human trafficking, infiltration of the FBI, the use of the Baltimore harbor, connection to local druggers.
John Grisham should do it. Or Tom clancy. It is a book.
