Suppose that cigarette smoke smelled like hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs); would defenders of indoor smoking be as likely to defend it then? Probably not. To some of us, the smell of cigarette smoke, even at a distance, is almost as offensive as the smell of rotten eggs.

Silly arguments, specially "suppose" ones, are a riot.
Suppose your gross overweight body produces an intolerable smell offending others for a radius of 100 yards. Can the rest of us have you evicted?
Suppose you start dating a martian who smells like Jabba the Hutt?

Suppose...

Most arguments have a supposition in them somewhere. If you find one that doesn't, write it up because logicians will be interested to read it.

Probably. Constant offensive odors can be a violation of a lease.

Probably.

Thank goodness.

I know of tenants who have been evicted for preparing, keeping, and eating kimchi (Korean fermented cabbage) in their apartments. Not in Korea, of course. In Korea the stench of garlic is everywhere and your nose gets numb to it after awhile. Koreans instead complain that Americans' body odor stinks like dairy products. I suppose a morning milk mustache might get you evicted in Korea.

Culture and background drive many of these decisions and actions. When people live in close confines it can be a difficult task to enforce the rights of one without compromising the rights of another.
